Plot Twist: Pink Chairs
We bike in the blossoms Thursday!
Plot twist - the pink stool has been demoted - because I decided to bring the conversation to the stage at the June 18 Michigan Girl Luncheon! LOOK AT... the bright pink chairs!
Now - instead of a traditional presentation from a speaker - the MiGirl “At the Table” June 18 luncheon will be a “live on-stage conversation” - between me and Tammy Stoerkel. This format means the speaker part of the luncheon about women and finance will be fun, fluid, flexible and based on real-life! (I may use Maple’s $16k vet bill for blasto as a crisis example, ha.)

MiGirl Chicago Weekend - Sept. 11-13!
Ladies! I decided to overhaul the Michigan Girl Chicago trip - and moved our weekend to Sept. 11-13, 2026 — opening weekend for Dirty Dancing, the musical!
The dates - Sept. 11-13 (Friday-Sunday). We leave TC at 8am on Friday, Sept. 11 and return to TC Sunday, Sept. 13 at 4pm. Pickups in TC, Cadillac, GR and Benton Harbor-ish.
The hotel - Marriott’s Hotel Chicago, Autograph Collection is downtown in River North, next to the Riverwalk. We can explore the other side of downtown - and it’s within walking distance of the James Nederlander Theatre.
The agenda - Dirty Dancing, the musical - Friday, Sept. 11 at 7pm. You have the entire day Saturday to explore Chicago on your own before being wrangled Sunday morning for the nap-required, movie-playing, fat-pants-only ride on the way home.
The bus - We’ll be traveling via motor coach (bathroom on board lol). We’ll have wine, games and movies on the bus!
RATES:
Double: $695 per person; Triple: $645 per person; Quad: $595 per person; Single: $945 per person; show tickets are an optional add-on at approx. $88 each. Rates include two nights lodging in downtown Chicago, motor coach transportation, and MiGirl swag, wine and fun along the way.
The group - Join us! This is open to all women (no membership needed) and many women get on in TC and scoop up feral friends en route at our various pick-up spots to make a girls weekend with no worries - no bus or hotel or driving or show logistics!!
RESERVE: Email kandace@MichGirl.com to join us! I need a $200 deposit per person to hold your seat. Send names for everyone in your group and I’ll let you know how to make your deposits once we reach 30 gals (the minimum required to green light this dance party)! 🌸 May 14: Bikes & Blossoms Ride 🌸
This is a paved TART ride, so all types of bikes will work (mountain, road, e-bikes)! We will park at Farm Club (10051 Lake Leelanau Dr, Traverse City, MI 49684) and ride toward Suttons Bay and back - 10 miles roundtrip! The blossoms will hopefully be in bloom!!!
Park at Farm Club at 5:30pm... Then we ride north and stop a few places along the way for photos. Then... back to Farm Club for drinks 7-8pm. Each person pays for their own tab, fyi.
